What happened to all this?? my daughter was very disappointed by the lack of children's activities this year...previous years there was a scavenger hunt for the kiddies while we drove the trails and they had a pinata after supper.

Oh ok, I guess we missed it. :(

If you guys are working with Lorne and the Valley Off-road club next year, I would recommend holding the scavenger hunt for the kids during the run, it gives them something to do when there's downtime for a breakage or something. We also missed all the silly lil' checkpoint games, that was something else my daughter had looked forward to, especially since it was just her and I this year.

Thanks guys, we'll see ya there again next year 8-)

Maybe a sheet with the different events and times.....

This was my first Fox Mountain and I really enjoyed it but felt unsure of when meals, runs, events were happening.

Yes very true, stuff like the RTI ramp, when any games or events were planned for, what time is breakfast and all that sort of stuff...having an itinerary is an awesome idea!

the original plan was to give out the bags and do the scavenger hunt after the pig roast so people could socialize and the kids would be entertained, but trucks didn't come out of the woods and people ate in shifts and still trucks were not out of the woods and then it was late and a missed opportunity.
So about 9:30 I set up an obstacle course and painting and goop and had the scavenger hunt and treat bags ready to go. I sent some of our older kids around with the treat bags to give out and invite people to come play.
A few did and most did not, those who came had fun and a child named Daniel won the scavenger hunt prize.

the late out of the woods was not directed at anyone, just a fact of trail riding and the reason why the events were moved.
